8 March 2018: The FT celebrated International Women’s Day with activities in London and New York hosted by FT Women, an employee-led network.

In London, FT Women UK organised an exciting programme of activities aimed at education, wellness and inclusion.

The day featured a range of events and talks for all staff, including:

  • Self-defence class
  • Career development
  • Yoga
  • Mindfulness session
  • Lighting Talks from 5 inspirational women
  • Panel discussion: What does balance mean to you?
  • Networking and Drinks

FT Women NY, in partnership with SYPartners, hosted “Design Your Future Self”, an interactive workshop, moderated by SYPartners’ managing creative director, Jessica Tillyer. The hands-on workshop focused on key topics such as getting unstuck, building adaptability and confidence at work, listening to your instincts, and female leadership.

Additionally, New York staff participated in a clothing drive for Dress for Success, an international not-for-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence.

To honor the International (Working) Women's Day, on March 12, the FT hosted an event with The Women Who Code in Sofia.
