The Financial Times was awarded the Print and Web Feature Story of the Year Award at last night’s Foreign Press Association’s Media Awards 2013 for the series Qatar: From Emirate to Empire, by Roula Khalaf and Abigail Fielding-Smith. The series was made up of the two long form articles: Qatar: what’s next for the world’s most aggressive deal hunter? and How Qatar seized control of the Syrian revolution.
