14 February 2018: On 12 February, the Financial Times received eight awards from the Society of News Design in New York. These awards honour journalistic, visual and technical excellence. 13 judges, from across the United States and around the globe, reviewed more than 1,000 entries during two days of judging.

In the following categories, the FT was presented with an Award of Excellence, which highlights work that goes beyond technical or aesthetic competency and can honour daring and innovative approaches:
