4 September 2017: FT Weekend’s Hidden Cities series, in collaboration with Google, was named ‘Best use of AR/VR’ at the Digiday Publishing Awards Europe last night.
The immersive virtual reality documentary series explores the social dynamics and physical landscape of some of the world’s cultural capitals.
The Hidden Cities series was also recognised at the 2017 British Media Awards, receiving the gold medal for Partnership of the Year. The latest iteration highlights the tensions between Dublin’s past and present, following successful launches in Rio, London and Brussels.
The concept was created by adam&eveDDB and the series was filmed, edited and produced by VR production studio, Visualise.
