4 December 2019: FT Money has been voted national newspaper personal finance section of the year at the Personal Finance Awards.
Claer Barrett, FT Money editor, collected the award at a ceremony in Birmingham this week. “The whole FT Money team is thrilled to receive this award,” she said. “It’s a high accolade for our specialist writers to be singled out for praise by financial professionals.”
More than 100 Personal Finance Society members voted for their favourite personal finance titles in a poll conducted by the professional body.
FT Money’s sister publication, FT Adviser, won the category of trade publication of the year.
Keith Richards, chief executive of the Personal Finance Society, said: "In an era when national newspaper personal finance sections have become increasingly vital for consumer guidance, FT Money has consistently demonstrated a wide range of expertise and forensic journalistic analysis.”
Richards continued, "Editor Claer Barrett and her team have tackled complex consumer financial subjects with compelling knowledge and editorial excellence. Whether pensions or private investments, mortgages or insurance, with an ever-widening raft of personal finance issues, FT Money is in our view a deserved winner."
