4 September 2020: The Financial Times’ boutique consulting firm FT Strategies is adding five new dates for it’s Digital Immersion Week in Europe, following the success of its inaugural English-language programme. The initiative is designed to help other publishers kick-start their reader revenue business models.

The first Digital Immersion Week attracted participants from 13 English-language news organisations from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Greece. Attendees found the week to have given them “clear, measurable, goals for future growth” and “an informative and valuable experience.”

“The current global pandemic continues to put extreme strain on the media industry. Publishers have no choice but to develop and diversify their revenue strategies to build sustainable business models for the future,” said Tara Lajumoke, managing director of FT Strategies.

She continued, “At FT Strategies, we draw on rich experience and capability to help organisations who face similar challenges to those we have weathered at the FT. This is why we launched this free-to-attend Digital Immersion Week programme, and we are thrilled with its extremely encouraging results.”

New Digital Immersion Week opportunities for European publishers include:

  • Germany (21st-25th September)
  • France (28th Sept - 2nd October)
  • Spain (5th-9th October)
  • Poland (19th-23rd October)

Publishers interested in participating in the German Digital Immersion Week can apply here. Registration for additional weeks to come.
