The FT was awarded the highly coveted FujiFilm Grand Prix prize at last night’s Newsawards, formerly known as the Newspaper awards.
The award recognises the news media brand that “demonstrates the best cross-platform collection of both printed and digital assets.” The judges commented that the FT’s innovative and pioneering entry excelled on all fronts and was a clear winner. They said that the FT “showed true interaction between print and digital platforms” and that the “quality of journalism shines through.”
The FT was also commended in the ‘National Newspaper of the Year’ and the ‘Digital Innovation of the Year’ categories. Luxury lifestyle magazine How To Spend It was highly commended in the National Supplement/Magazine of the Year category.
