The Financial Times was a winner at the London Press Club 2023 awards this week.

Financial Times editor Roula Khalaf won Business Journalist of the Year. Khalaf has been editor since 2020, during which time the FT has reached record subscription numbers and delivered several high profile scoops. She accepted the award on behalf of “all of the FT’s journalists,” in recognition of the collective effort that makes the FT a success.

FTWeekend won in the Sunday/Weekend Newspaper of the Year category, with the award collected by editor Janine Gibson.

The FT’s special investigations team, Madison Marriage and Antonia Cundy, were highly commended in the Scoop of the Year category for the FT’s exposé of financier Crispin Odey
