9 May 2019: The Financial Times took home four prizes, including business story of the year, at the 2019 Headline Money Awards last night in London. The Headline Money Awards celebrate editorial excellence and top-flight communications from around the world of financial services media.

Madison Marriage, FT’s accounting and tax correspondent, won business story of the year for her investigative reporting on the Presidents Club scandal. Madison was recently named Business Journalist of the Year at the 2019 London Press Club awards and named Business and Finance Journalist of the Year at the 2019 British Press Awards, alongside FT news editor Matthew Garrahan.

Merryn Somerset Webb, FT’s personal finance and investment columnist and editor-in-chief of Moneyweek was awarded Financial Commentator of the Year, Rachel Addison of FTAdviser was named Rising Star of the Year (B2B) and David Baxter of Money Management & Asset Allocator won B2B Investment Journalist of the Year.
