Spain’s Club Internacional de Prensa has named Tobias Buck (@TobiasBuckFT), FT bureau chief in Madrid, as foreign journalist of the year.

The jury said he had provided a “rigorous, expansive and topical narrative of the social, political and financial events in Spain over the past year, becoming a benchmark of good journalism”.
