The Financial Times’ European technology correspondent Murad Ahmed has been named Tech Journalist of the Year at the UK Tech Awards 2015.
Now in its third year, the UK Tech Awards recognise incisive, accurate, regular and readable technology news and commentary to help raise the global profile of the UK tech community.
Ravi Mattu, the FT’s Telecoms, Media and Technology news editor, said: “Murad has done an exceptional job reporting on the ups and downs of the European tech sector. He has been at the heart of the continent’s thriving start-up scene as well as tracking the travails of US’s biggest tech groups in Europe, with outstanding scoops on Google, Uber and Microsoft and others. This accolade is richly deserved.”
Sponsors of the event include PWC, Barclays, Rothschild, Arma Partners, Canaccord, ECI Partners, finnCap, Luther Pendragon and Rigby.
