Public invited to attend free exhibition featuring work by celebrated photographers on December 2-3

The Financial Times and International Rescue Committee are hosting a photography exhibition and auction at London’s Getty Gallery as part of the FT’s 2014/15 seasonal appeal. The appeal, which runs throughout December and January, provides editorial coverage to highlight the work of a chosen charity, with events to support fundraising. This year FT employees chose the International Rescue Committee as their appeal partner, a global charity that saves and rebuilds lives in the wake of conflict and disaster.

The free, two-day exhibition is open to the public on December 2-3. It features photography by Cecil Beaton, Steve McCurry, Tom Hunter, Paolo Ventura, Tim Page. ‘Modern Life is Rubbish’ by Corinne Day (above) a limited edition print signed by Kate Moss. Sotheby’s Adrian Biddell will auction the lots at an invitation-only event on December 3, hosted by FT deputy editor John Thornhill and IRC CEO David Miliband.

His life was saved when a doctor found him on the street after the attack and brought him to hospital.
